This is the 1960s inspired Graphic Design piece.
In the final Lens Based Media lecture before the deadline, it was suggested that I add some imagery around the outside and in the background to litter the page and make it more interesting.
I researched into how designers do that and below is an example. I had more but lost them.
But, what I realised aswell is, in the 1960s design was very simple and it would be a case of showing the model/product, it’s name and maybe a border (see below)
I could have acknowledged that, whilst ignoring it, and done it anyway. I didn’t. I drew my image and what I could do around it but didn’t like it. There was an awkwardness about it, when it became littered, and I happen to really like the use of blank space.
I did add a vignette effect, only slight, but it changes the whole effect I feel. Suddenly it feels so much more authentic.
